While there is a Free Version of Traffic Travis available, it has limited features. Though it might be sufficient to provide you with an introduction to the package, it truly cannot compare with the multitude of features that you get with the Professional Version.
Traffic Travis is constantly updated with new features and search information, and one of its latest features is the SEO Analysis tool. With this tool, the entry of a keyword sends Traffic Travis off on a quest to analyze all of the data for the top ranked sites associated with that keyword – things like backlinks and other aspects of the sites that help them maintain their top rankings. The best thing about this tool is the power it provides you to scrutinize your competitors and discover areas in which you can prevail against them. For my money, the SEO Analysis tool is absolutely the best feature of the program.

Furthermore, the search counts of each of these keywords on major search engines such as Google, MSN, and Yahoo. By providing this feature, the user is quickly able to see their keyword’s strength. Moreover, you are able to quickly and efficiently filter your keywords by simply pushing the designated button.
Beyond Keyword Research, Traffic Travis provides those in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) business with the ability to more effectively analyze keyword use by competitors, as well as monitor the rankings of their sites and the activity of competitor sites. This feature is specifically great for users wishing to climb in the ranks on major search engines by letting you know if your webpage is adequately prepared for the keywords you are using.

Ad spying tools are essential tools for anyone that does PPC.  You can use them to see what your competition is doing, and take advantage of their pay per click research to help your own campaign.  All the time that you might be spending on things like keyword research, split testing ad copy, and landing page design can now be used on other things.  Why waste time doing all the work yourself, when the hard work has already been done for you?

There are numerous ad spying tools out there.  Some are are the web, while others are software programs that you start from your own computer.  All of them work off the same basic premise.  Ads that appear at the top of the search results consistently are very likely to be successful for that advertiser.  Who would be spending money for these top spots if they were losing money?  

By using an ad spying tool, you can automatically keep track of what ads are being shown for specific keywords on a scheduled basis.  After collecting enough data (1-2 weeks), you should be able to easily figure out which competitors are the most successful and for which keywords.  Once you have that info, you can examine the ad copy they are using as well as their landing page.  As you can tell, this information can be very helpful for your own PPC campaign.

Lets take a look at some different Ad Spy Tools that I have used myself and see which one is the best.

iSpionage - This is the most expensive tool of the group and will cost you about $75 a month to use.  It does offer several advantages however.  First, it is web-based so it works on both Mac or PC.  It is also project based, so it is very easy to scan keywords from multiple niches at a time.  In addition, it supports Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN Adcenter along with Google Adwords.  

PPCKahuna Software - This tool is part of the PPC Kahuna pay per click training membership.  It is a windows desktop software and works on Google Adwords.  It is relatively easy to use and there are several videos on the site that show you different strategies for using the software.  The advantage that PPC Kahuna offers are its nice filtering capabilities that help you easily find what you need.  The software gets updated quite often, so expect its capabilities to increase in the future.

Affiliate Espionage
- This is a cool little tool that has a whole host of competitive intelligence features.  It only costs $9.97 which is very affordable for what it can do. Since it is a Firefox extension, it supports all major platforms.  Affiliate Espionage tracks the ads that it sees as you make searches.  You can also input in your own keywords and have it scan during a certain time period. The extension supports the 3 major pay per click platforms (Google, Yahoo Adcenter and MSN) and it works by annotating the ads in your search results with useful data.  The disadvantage of this tool, is that all the information is not in one place, which makes it a little less convenient to find what you want than the previous two tools.

Traffic Travis - This is a handy tool that any internet marketer should be using.  It is a desktop application that you download to your own computer to use.  What makes it great, is that it is completely free!  The PPC Analysis module of Traffic Travis is actually a very effective ad spy tool. I would recommend that you try it first as new pay per click marketer.  It is limited to Adwords however, and it is not quite as easy to use as iSpionage or PPC Kahuna if you are tracking several campaigns at once.  

I’ve used all four of of these tools, and they all have their own pros and cons.  Ad spying tools are not a silver bullet for success, but they are definitely very handy tools for any pay per click marketer to use.  If you are starting off, I would recommend trying either Traffic Travis or Affiliate Espionage.  Once you start making money from your PPC Campaigns, then you can graduate to the more expensive tools and launch more campaigns simultaneously.

So what do you do if your content is the same as someone else’s? This happens quite often, particularly if you’re using content out of private label rights (PLR) articles, where hundreds of a good amount people might be working at the same thing. The trick is to reword the study to make it unique. Shuffle the paragraphs, use synonyms, and try to adjustment the article at minimum 25%, and preferably 50% to be on the safe side.

The other option, of course, is to write your own content or get it written for you. Try to get the ideal quality content that you can for your site, because the search engine engines are able to also pay attention to how for a long while people spend reading your site: The longer they stay, the more relevant your site looks. If they “bounce” away immediately, the searching the web engines will believe that your site is not a very good fit.
