How To Obtain Additional SEO Clients

I am very confident in my ability to successfully promote a website. I will stop short from calling myself a web promotion expert or an SEO expert as these are terms are bounded about far too often and usually by people who are basically dragging down the industry due to the fact they are clueless and nothing more than “NUMPTIES”.

I have my own web promotion website and also attempt to gain new clients by writing a letter similar to what is written below to various web designers.

The way that I work is quite simple; a client will advise me on the five main key phrases for their site and then I work to gain high rankings in Google for these phrases via various methods including the all important link building. The average monthly spend of each client is £300. I am normally able to gain top ten rankings for the majority of the phrases within a couple of months and then work hard to maintain these rankings.

I would be happy to offer this service to your clients, via your company, without them even being aware that I am involved as such; i.e you adding your fee on top. If this is of interest I would be able to lower the monthly fee to £250 per client.

At the outset I would require their five main key phrases. Obviously if they are ultra competitive such as “DVD replication” I would make a recommendation to target an alternative such as “DVD replication company” or “stuttering” could be “stuttering therapy”.

Once all parties had agreed on the phrases I would then suggest possible subtle changes to the homepage and source of the site; once these are complete I then start working on achieving those high rankings.

I work extremely hard and take a pride in the way that I conduct my business. I thrive on success and it is a real buzz to see the various websites climbing up the Google rankings.

After a few months many of my clients ask about promoting additional phrases and they are able to do this by increasing their monthly spend. They are happy to do this as they have seen the success etc.

One way links is what I focus on obtaining and I most certainly would not ever thinking of “buying these links” as that was “so last year”!

Building One Way Backlinks Has Evolved, Have You?

Grab a Free One Way Backlink Here From NextGenLinks.com

Building links used to be all about just getting a backlink
and that was it. It didn’t really matter how or from where, so
long as you were getting them, you were golden.

That was a long time ago, and as with everything on the internet,
things quickly evolved.

A few years ago, link farms were all the rage, of course they
were not called link farms back then.

They worked fine, until webmasters found a way to abuse the
system and get thousands of links from them overnight.

After that came the link directories, which unlike link farms
were a little more sophisticated and organized.

Link directories are a great way to get your homepage spidered
quickly, maybe even grab a visitor or two if the Directory is
of high quality and your link is very attractive.

The effectiveness of link directories has dwindled dramatically
due to the many automated software systems and sites that’ll
submit your link to thousands of them overnight.

It’s just not what SE’s would call a high quality link…

Just recently, link exchanges or reciprocal link building sites
and programs were all the rage. Give me a link and I’ll give you
one right back.

When the SE’s caught on to them, they evolved into 3 way link
exchanges, I’ll give you a link, you give them a link and they’ll
give me a link.

Seemed like the perfect solution, and to this day still works
quite well to get links to your Homepage…

All of these systems have three inherent problems in the eyes
of the Search Engines:

1. They create links to your homepage only
2. They are systems easily manipulated by the webmasters
3. They provide very little value, if any, to the end user,
in this case the visitor

It was inevitable that, eventually, the Search Engine’s would
have to do something about this, they would have to find a better
way to qualify, justify and rank backlinks.

After all, links are the backbone of the internet.

The result of this, changed the way the Major Search Engines
look at the links on your pages and more importantly, the
backlinks pointing to your pages.

They took a 180 degree turn alltogether!

Instead of looking at the way the webmaster had optimized their
site or what links were coming and going, the Search Engine’s
turned their focus to what the end users’ behavior was when
clicking on or following those links!

The main indicator of quality, relevancy and validity of the
links now lies in the end users behavior.

When looked at from the Search Engines’ point of view, this makes
perfect sense.

Here’s the logic behind the madness and why the SE’s trust this
information far more :)

To begin with, the webmaster has little to no control over the
end users actions, so this is very unbiased and raw feedback.

Let’s walk through a typical scenario.

A visitor is on your site, maybe the homepage or maybe an inner
page, they are interested in the content on your site and they
spy a link which catches their eye they click on the link and
it takes them to another page…

Here is where it get’s interesting!

There’s only two things they can do:

1. Stay on that site
2. Leave that site

Based on this behavior, the SE’s can tell instantly if the link
was good or bad.

If the visitor immediately closes the new page or backspaces away,
the Search Engines can make certain assumptions. For example they
might assume the link was irrelevant to the page it pointed to, they
might assume that the anchor text used in the link was deceitful.

One way or the other, that particular visitor was not happy with
that link, so the SE may not give that link any weight.

However, if the visitor decided to stay on the page after following
the link, the picture is entirely different.

Now the SE starts to analyze why they may have stayed on the page.
They will look first at the page the link was on and compare it to
the anchor text of the link for relevancy. Then they will look at
the page the link was pointing to - the page the user is currently
on - and compare that to both the link anchor text and the previous
page.

Next they will look at the users behavior while on the new page, how
long they stay on the page, if they go back to the previous page, or
if they follow a link within the current page, and if so, is it an
internal link or an external link…

When all is said and done, the result from this extensive research
will ultimately determing whether or not this link is valid and
what weight it should be given.

The more weight the link is given, the higher overall ranking the
page will receive in the search engine for the terms researched.

You may ask, “How can the SE’s possibly get all of this data?”

Easy, there’s several tools that Google and other SE’s use to
follow you around the web, like Toolbars, certain Browsers and
of course, Google Analytics.

As of this writing, it is estimated that almost 60% of all
webmasters are using Google Analytics to gather user specific
data on their sites.

Does this mean you should not use Google Analytics?

Of course not! As a matter of fact, we strongly recommend that
you DO use it. It’s a great way to see what your visitors are
doing on your site :) The very valuable data!

But at the same time, you should know how to use this data and
tool to your advantage.

The take away lesson from this article should be:

When building links, always think like your visitor and not
like a webmaster trying to get pagerank.

Build high quality, relevant backlinks that point to content
on pages that will be useful to your visitor and will make you
look like an authority for providing it.

These are called “Deep Links” and they go from an inner page
on your site to the inner page of a completely different but
very relevant site.

Don’t worry about the small percentage of visitors that you
may lose to these links, if done properly, link building will
increase your overall traffic by tenfold or more!

In another article, we will discuss why it is necessary to
have outgoing links on your pages, as opposed to the popular belief
that by doing so you will leak pagerank, it’s not true…

Don't Ignore Deep Links As Part of Your Link Building Strategy! Here's Why…

Grab a High PR Backlink Here From NextGenLinks.com

Deep linking has been a bit of a controversial subject over the past few years.

Most recreational webmasters completely ignore them, while others swear by them. Some Major League websites have even gone as far as to launch lawsuits against deep linking in an attempt to limit direct access to inner pages of their sites, like sales and order pages, claiming it undermines their sales process and bypasses advertisers.

Despite the controversy, for those in the know, deep links have become an essential part of their SEO strategy and the benefits are indisputable.

For those who don’t know what a deep link is, it is simply a link from a page on one website that links directly to an inner page of another website. Unlike what is commonly referred to as a backlink that simply links to the homepage, deep links typically point to a specific piece of information or relevant topic on an inner page.

I’m a huge fan of Deep Links, while getting links to your homepage certainly has it’s place in SEO, it doesn’t even come close to the results you get from a deep link.

A recent report from Nielsen stated that in the year 2004, about 40% of people traveled to a website via the homepage and then drilled down to what they were looking for and only 60% arrived via a deep link.

In 2008, only 25% of all visitors arrived at websites via the homepage, the rest perform specific keyword searches using “long tail keyword phrases” and expect to go directly to the information they are looking for.

We live in an age where people have a serious attention deficit, and on top of that we expect instant gratification. Especially when it comes to technology like the Internet.

Google and other Search Engines know this, not only do they know it, but they are partially responsible for it. By creating smarter Search Engine algorithms and producing more relevant search results, users have become more accustomed to finding what they are looking for, instantly.

It leads to reason then, that you should make it as easy as possible for the Search Engines to find and rank your inner pages. Getting some deep links can do just that.

Having a sitemap and an optimized internal linking structure for your site is important as well and it helps the Search Engine robots drill down through your site and create a list of pages for inclusion in their databases, but it does not guarantee that those pages will ever rank well in search results.

The reason for this is obvious, well maybe not obvious to us, but it is obvious for the search engines. You see, internal links are created by the webmaster and are very biased in nature, in other words, the SE’s cannot trust them. You can blame the thousands of unscrupulous webmasters that have tried to take advantage of the SE’s using sneaky black hat methods for that.

On the other hand, a one way deep link coming from another website pointing to an inner page on your site is like a direct, unbiased recommendation for the content on that page.

The search engine robots will follow these links, and again using very smart algorithms and technology, will extract data and determine the value of the page, links and thus inclusion in future search results.

There are many other factors that come into play when determining the value of a deep link and we have discussed some of them in depth at our blog over at NextGenerationLinks.com, so be sure to stop by and join the conversation by leaving your comments.

There are other benefits to deep linking as well, some of these are fringe benefits that come as a result of having more traffic direct to inner pages on your site.

For example, Advertising.

You can now sell advertising on these inner pages for a higher price once you prove the amount of traffic they are getting. This type of advertising is easier to sell as well, since the traffic is much more targeted and will convert to sales at a much higher rate.

You can easily prove your traffic by using free tools such as Google Analytics to get detailed traffic statistics.

In future articles we will discuss the structure of your site to properly handle the traffic you get from deep links as well as the importance of having outgoing links on all pages of your site.

Linkvana: Limited To Only 300 Members

Now nearly every internet marketer understands that the the most essential element to high rankings in the search engines is getting good quality links pointing at your webpages. Understanding that is the easy part. The difficult part is how to get those high quality links back to your site.

I am not a believer in using just one system for getting backlinks, I like to use many strategies. But there’s no question that Linkvana is a fantastic addition to my other link gathering methods.

What is Linkvana? Simply put, it’s a “blog network” where members can make blog entries to the network which includes a link back to their own site (links are only allowed to G rated real “white hat” websites.) Each blog entry must only contain one link.

This isn’t a blog network where one blog entry is posted to hundreds of blogs (which in my opinion makes that blog network way too obvious) but instead each blog entry is only posted once so there is no duplicate content issue. Because of their strong stance against duplicate content they require all blog entries to be entirely original hand written content. The blog posts only have to be a minimum of 100 words so that’s not too big of a deal. They also offer an writing service where they will have someone write your posts for you for only $2 per post.

The first thing I noticed when I joined this system is how well it’s laid out and how easy it is to use. This is quite important. A system which brings excellent results but which is very difficult to use has a major handicap. It’s very draining to me to struggle with a system which isn’t very user friendly and unfortunately that’s the case with some of the big article submission services (I won’t name any names.)

After ease of use, the second thing that really jumped out to me about this system was the high quality of the domains in the system. Most of them have a very high pagerank and they are all at least one year old. Some are as old as 7 years! The high quality of the backlinks is what sets linkvana.com apart.

If you are considering joining LinkVana then I must recommend that you do it as soon as possible because Linkvana has a limit of 300 members. You definitely want to be one of the 300 members on the inside instead of one of the many thousands on the outside.

How To Build Automated Backlinks – Get One Way Links On Autopilot

Almost every webmaster knows the best way to propel your website to the top of the search engine results is by getting backlinks. Not just any back links but relevant and high authority back links from other sites in your niche.

However, it isn´t always easy. A couple of years ago, link exchange networks where webmasters will exchange link among their websites was common and it work for a while. However, today, reciprocal linking is nowhere as effective as one way back links.

There are many ways to get one way links. The usual ways include requesting a link from another website though this method is highly inefficient and most webmasters don´t link out very often since it leaks page rank.

Other methods to gain one way back links include:

1. Article marketing

Posting an article to hundreds of article directories with your resource box and URL is certainly one of the best ways to gain one way back links.

2. Directory Submission

Another common way is to submit to hundreds and thousands of directory websites.

3. Social Bookmarking

There are hundreds of web 2.0 sites where you can bookmark your own site to get back links.

From my experience, these methods are not as effective as getting back links from related websites and blogs in your niche.

The best way to get quality back links is getting a back link on another website with the keyword phrase you want as the anchor text.

Although it might seem impossible, there is a way to automated this step so you can get hundreds of such one way back links. Even better, they are dripped fed so the back links accumulate over time. The best part is it takes only about 10 minutes to set up and you can leave it alone to grow back links on autopilot.

If you are interested to build one way links on autopilot, I recommend you check out this site. Learn how you can start building automated one way back links easily in less than 10 minutes.

Why One Way Links Will Make Or Break Your Success

Link building - the key to success

For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, link building is simply the process of increasing the number of links from other websites to yours.  It’s a really simple concept, yet link building is so important and so often ignored in online marketing.

The reason for link building is primarily to do with search engine optimization. Search engines like Google and Yahoo will take each link from another website to yours, as something like a ‘vote’ that your website is of high quality - otherwise why would they link to it right?  This in turn will improve your search engine ranking, which will make a phenomenal difference in the amount of traffic your site will receive.

The other reason for link building is simply to get your site 'out there'.  Much of the visitor traffic online goes via search engines, but a lot of it doesn’t too, so if there are loads of links to your website floating around cyberspace, chances are people will click on them and end up at your website.

Why Is Link Building Super Important?

The main reason is that it is the primary way you can increase your ‘off-page optimization’ for search engine marketing.  What all that tech-talk means is that once you’ve created a good site, that is search engine friendly, the main activity that will make a big difference is link building.

So the moral of the story, is get a good site built, and then get to work link building - because it will make a phenomenal difference to your results.

Search engines still have the lions share of online traffic, so be sure to capitalize on that!
