Internet Marketing Forums Rock: Why I Like Forums

Internet marketing forums are a great source of knowledge.  There are internet marketing forums for thousands of different niches.  People congregate in these forums and talk about anything that has to do with their niche.  It is a place to establish relationships with peers.

Each internet marketing forum has its own guidelines.  When you first enter a forum and sign up as a member, you need to find out the rules.   You usually fill in your profile information and some other data, and maybe post your photo.  You also create a signature link, which is the link that is going to be shown under your name every time you make a post.  These signature links usually link back to your website or promotion.

Some of the forums will not allow you to show a signature until you have a certain amount of posts.  Other rules are, for example, that you cannot contact another member directly or post an offer for a product or service until you have a certain number of posts, or contributions.

People get to ask all kinds of questions at forums, and other members will follow the thread and add comments, suggestions, answers, or whatever they want to contribute.  Some threads get multiple replies and last for a long time.

In the internet marketing forums you really get to hear what people are dealing with and the problems and struggles that they are having, as well as their successes and insights.  There is also a lot of input from people offering solutions and help.  You have newbies, and you have experienced internet marketers, and everybody shares their perspectives.

I specialize in the Internet Marketing information niche, and my favorite is the Warrior Forum.  There are some great internet marketers in this forum, and I have learned a lot from them.  I really feel that I find the answers to my questions even while reading other people’s threads.  Many times I have found new information that I was not aware of that has helped me a lot.  People contribute real gems of knowledge and advice in this forum.

I have also met people who offer very specialized services, that are truly excellent.  If you need a certain kind of information, don’t hesitate to ask in the forum.  You will invariably be directed to the right source.

I find internet marketing forums very refreshing in that they are one place you are not going to hear the sales pitches that you get bombarded with in emails every day.  I really can trust most of what I hear in the forums because people are exposing their views and their knowledge and discussing it.  If someone is not correct about something, he will be called on it.  So there is like a forum police that won’t let you get away with BS.

Just tonight I started a thread at a forum.  Someone had taken one of my articles and posted it on his blog, which is fine.  He did leave my name as the author, but he had removed my links and inserted some of his links in the body of my article, which I believe is totally wrong.  But I realized that this was an authority blog, and that if I asked him to remove his links he would probably remove my article from his blog.  So I thought it was probably better to let it go so that he would keep my article, and that way I get exposure.  So I ran it by the forum, and got great feedback.  They confirmed my way of thinking, and also offered some other options that I have.

To me internet marketing forums are the best way to meet other people in my niche, as well as the best source of education.  I make it a habit to visit the forums at least every other day, and also to contribute and offer content.

The best tip I received in a forum was finding an article marketing directory which is owned by one of the members of the forum.  I followed a thread which led me to this person.  I contacted him because I read that he was an excellent article marketer.  He then told me about his service, which is second to none.  I really recommend his site for article marketing: Internet Marketing Forum referral.

Internet Marketing Article Writing: How to Write a Good Article

Internet marketing article writing is a subject close to my heart.  Since I started doing internet marketing I started writing articles.  After all, it is a great way to promote your business.  Not only is it free, but once you write an article and submit it to the proper channels, this is content that will stay indefinitely on the internet, unlike ads, which usually expire in a certain amount of time.

People write articles to promote products.  It is a very easy way to advertise on the internet.  You usually submit your article with at least one link to your product or website and submit it to article directories and social bookmarking sites.  Doing this will distribute your article over the internet into hundreds or thousands of sites.  Articles are picked up by the search engines and are listed under their organic searches.  So it is a very practical marketing strategy.

Another advantage of writing articles is that anyone can publish your article on their website.  They must always show you as the author and publish your author resource box along with your link.  In this way you can get free traffic from other websites as well.

Internet marketing article writing is a topic that is frequently discussed in forums and blogs. There are many different strategies that are used in internet marketing article writing, and people are constantly giving their insights and discoveries regarding the newest search engine trends.

There is a world of knowledge about internet marketing article writing.  It is not just writing the article.  It is really an art.  Here are some of the things to consider in order to write an effective internet marketing article:

  1. Keyword research.  Even before you write the article, the first thing you need to do is keyword research.  Use a keyword tracking tool to help you find words in your niche that you can use in your article.  These words ideally have high traffic and low competition.
  2. Backlinks.  You always have an author resource box at the end of your article with a link back to your website or product.  This is the way you use your article to promote your business.  Some article directories allow more than one backlink.  Check each directory before submitting your articles and find out their guidelines.
  3. How to set up your keyword(s).  There is a certain way to place your keyword within your article that is favored by the search engines.  Always have your keyword in the title of your article.  Mention your keyword once in your first sentence, and bold it.  Then mention your keyword a second time close to the first paragraph and underline it.  You should also mention your keyword in the first line of the last paragraph.  Also mention your keyword in your article summary.  You can also sprinkle your keyword throughout the paragraph, at no more than a 2 percent ratio of the total words.  So, for a 400 word article, figure mentioning it no more than 8 times.  The main thing is that your article reads well and has good content.
  4. Targeting your prospects.  The more targeted the article the better.  When someone clicks on my link at one of my articles they will ideally be looking for something that I am offering that they want.  So my link has to offer this solution for them.  The website or product that I am taking them to needs to be clearly the solution indicated in solving a certain problem presented in the article.  The call to action should be strong and make the sale so that they will want to click on the link.
  5. Submitting your article.  In order for the search engines to find your articles you need to submit them to various directories and other online submitters.  In my opinion, the best article directory is Website-Articles.net, where you can pay a small membership fee and get by far  the best service and article marketing education of all.   Ezine Articles is another very good membership directory.  I always make sure to submit my articles to these two directories as well as GoArticles.  There are also social bookmarking sites, such as Delicious, Digg, and Technorati, where you can post your articles so that anyone can go and find them under specific subjects or “tags”.

Article writing is an art.  With time you can improve all these strategies and learn to be more effective.  It can really become a lot of fun as you track the progress of your article writing skills and see your articles gain rank in google and the other search engines.   And of course, the better you get at it, and the higher you rank, the more chance to explode your internet marketing sales.

Don’t struggle anymore trying to find out the secrets of article writing.  Don’t get caught up in the wrong kind of information which can hurt you.   Learn what the experts know and get results at Website-Articles.net

What is a Squeeze Page? How to Create a Squeeze Page from Start to Finish

A squeeze page is a short version of a sales page.  It is used to promote a product and capture the information of the subscriber.

When you promote a product it is important to have a very appealing sales pitch.  Your squeeze page usually consists of a great headline which excites the buyer and shows benefits, a description of the product and a list of benefits.  The benefits are much more than the product features; they tell the buyer what the product will do for him and why it would be the solution to a certain problem that it is aimed to solve.  They should ideally be set out in bullet points.

The next thing that the squeeze page has is an opt-in form, where the subscriber will register his name and email address.  This will add the information of the subscriber to your email marketing list.  This is a very important step as building your list is crucial in internet marketing.  You will promote your future offers to your list.

To make edits to your squeeze page and add the opt-in form you use an HTML editor.  There are many different editors, some which are free, such as NVU, which you can download easily on the internet.  It is good to know some HTML code to create your squeeze page, but you really don’t need to know that much.

A simple HTML editor usually has a visual editor and a code editor.  You can make most of your edits on the visual editor, which looks pretty much like Word.  To insert your opt-in HTML code you do need to use your code editor.  You can easily do this by inserting a certain word (such as OPTINCODE) on the visual page where you need your opt in code to appear in the page.  Then you go to your code editor and look for that word that you inserted and replace it with the HTML code.  That is the easiest way.

There are also places where you can learn HTML, which will of course be helpful for making additional web pages.  An excellent resource would be W3 Schools Online.

You should call your squeeze page index.html.  The index page is the one that is going to be opened when you go to a particular URL.

After you have inserted the code and made your revisions to your squeeze page, you have to use an FTP program to upload it to make it go live on the internet.  There are also many free FTP programs available on the internet.  I use Free FTP, and it works just fine.

You have to buy a domain and hosting for the domain before you put your webpage on your FTP program.  You can purchase a domain name at HostMonster, GoDaddy, or many other online providers.  There are also host providers, such as Hostmonster and Hostgator, where you pay a yearly fee to have your domain hosted on their servers.

Your domain needs to be active on your FTP program.  You can place your squeeze page directly under your domain, or you can create a directory within your domain by opening a new folder under the domain name.  In other words it could look like this www.YourDomain.com or www.YourDomain.com/directory

You then upload your squeeze page (index.html) along with the images file and any other files that came with it.  You have to have everything together in one folder.  Otherwise, your images will not appear on the page when you open it on the internet.

These are the simple steps to creating and viewing a squeeze page online.  This is the basic knowledge you will need to create any other web page.  It seems a lot at first, but once you have created one or two you will be able to go through the whole process in a matter of minutes.

Of course, you may find this too much right now and want to start with a more simple solution, for more information on squeeze pages, opt-in forms and other relevant topics, visit my blog at CrisSuggests.com.

Are You an Internet Marketing Newbie? Some Essential Tips for Newbies

If you are an internet marketing newbie, you are in for a great education, if you are really serious about what you are doing.  There is a vast amount of knowledge to be learned to be able to have an internet marketing business.  You have to be prepared and committed to learn, and have the drive to take action.

Many internet marketing newbies have the impression that this is a get rich quick overnight scheme, and are surprised when they realize the amount of work that is demanded of this business.  They think they can make a lot of money without doing a lot of work.  I am here to tell you this is not so.

If you are an internet marketing newbie, here is a list of essential tips for you:

  1. Articles.  Learn the different kinds of marketing strategies, and choose the ones that you like.  There are many different ways of promoting your business.  Article marketing is one of them and it is free.  You can write articles and submit them to article directories, ezines and authority websites, so that the search engines will find them.  There is a lot to learn about writing good articles, and about ranking high in the search engines.
  2. Ads. You can post ads, whether on free websites or pay per click ads, where you pay every time someone clicks on your ads.  Pay per click can get expensive if you don’t really know what you re doing.  It is a good idea to start out with a limited daily budget and low bid on keywords, until you find the ads and keywords that are working for you.
  3. Videos. You can make videos and post them on YouTube.  Video marketing is very big.  People use videos on their sales pages and other online promotions and it is very effective.  They create video tutorials using Camtasia and other tools and promote their products this way.
  4. Forums. Go to forums in the internet marketing niche that you choose and find people who are successful.  Ask questions.  Always be polite and remember you are a newcomer.  There is a hidden forum etiquette, and newbies should not be too outspoken.  There is a lot of good information on forums.
  5. Social Sites. Go to Twitter and Facebook and socialize with people in your niche.  Start conversations with them.  Establish relationships and start gaining the trust of others.  Don’t just go there to sell your product.  That is regarded as spam, and is not good for your reputation.
  6. HTML editor. Learn how to edit and create web pages.  If you are going to be selling products online you need to promote them through sales pages and squeeze pages.  You want to be able to edit these sales pages with an HTML editor.  You will also create thank you pages and download pages for the sale of your products.
  7. FTP Program. Learn how to use an FTP program.  After you finish editing your web pages, you will need to upload them to make them live on the internet.  You will use an FTP program to upload them from your computer to the internet.
  8. Coaching. Get someone to guide you.  Don’t try to figure it all out by yourself.  You might find someone in forums or social sites that is willing to sponsor you.  You can also find some good courses that will teach you the basics and guide you.  You will probably waste a lot of time and money trying to do it on your own.

So if you are an internet marketing newbie remember it is going to take some time to build your business.  You will discover and learn new things on a daily basis.  Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.  Keep learning, keep marketing, and keep focused.  One day you will not be an internet marketing newbie anymore.

Affiliate marketing is a good place to start if you are an internet marketing newbie.  Learn the solid rock basics of being an affiliate internet marketer through a well known mentor and internet consultant, Jimmy D. Brown.  His Affiliatenaire course will teach you the ropes.

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?

Affiliate Marketing Definition:  Someone (affiliate) that promotes (markets) a person or companies products and makes a commission for the sales made through the affiliates promotions.

Is affiliate marketing any good? Affiliate marketing, or internet marketing has become one of the easiest and fastest ways toearn money online.  You can sign up to an affiliate for so many different companies or products, the possibilities are endless.  But one big question remains…

How do you get started and become successful in the world of online internet marketing?  The first thing is you can take the long path and discover it through trial and error.  Unfortunately, this route can take months, and sometimes even years before a beginner finally gets the whole thought of affiliate marketing and is able to turn it into real money making career.  The nice thing of trial and error is you actually find what worked well for you through your mistakes.  The con of this way is that it takes a LOT of poking around the web trying to get free information that actually cites worthy information.

An excellent solution to this road block would be to purchase a training program that shows you how to earn money online. You have to be careful in finding a program though, because not all are what they claim.  There are so many training courses you can purchase on the internet to teach you the things you need to know, but beware- most don’t tell you EVERYTHING.  You may learn key facts about certain areas with every product you purchase.  The high amount of money you spend on each individual product can really add up, and the time it takes you to get through each course may not be well spent.

There are some excellent training programs out there that will teach you absolutely everything you need to learn.  My absolute highest recommendation is Alex Goad’s Google Conquest Authority.  This training course begins at the complete beginning and teaches you step by step the process from purchasing domain names to setting up your affiliate accounts.

Conquest Authority includes:

  • Training on setting up a webhosting account
  • Training on chosing a domain name (advanced keyword research)
  • Training on how to set up your new site, including keyword placement
  • Training on signing up for affiliate accounts
  • Placement of advertisements on your site
  • Advanced SEO strategies
  • 90 day challenge- this challenge is designed to give you 90 days to follow the steps and see results.

and more.  This is the absolute complete and thorough step by step you’ve been trying to figure out the secret sauce to make it work, I highly recommend you check out Conquest Authority. Here you can read a Google Conquest Authority Review.  If you already know you want Conquest Authority and you just want a little something extra, you can check out an exclusive Google Conquest Authority Bonus here.

So in answer to the question: Affiliate marketing any good? With great training, online marketing is not good-it can be great.

Google Conquest Results

Conquest Authority and Google Conquest.  Do these names sound familiar?  I’m going to give you a little hint.  Google Conquest Authority- they are one.  Back in November 2008, Alex Goad released a full online training with absolute automatic tools.  The name was Google Conquest, and after just a few days on the market, the course sold out.  Now 6 months later, in May 2009, it’s sequel is being made available again- enter Conquest Authority.  Authority is the re-release of Google Conquest, and the excitement for the re-release has been extraordinary.

The original Conquest, included was a 60 day challenge, which challenged the members by the end of 60 days to earn $200 a day based on the training provided.  So did the challenge pan out?

Alex sold only a limited 1000 copies of Google Conquest to ensure full customer support and training to his members.  The 60 day challenge came after 30 days of the product opening.  This was to allow the members to look around, get a feel for the system, and prepare for the 60 day challenge.  (There was a “quick start training”, so members could start right away.) The 60 day training started with keyword research (profitable niches), domain names, ftp hosting, and cpanel information.  Training followed with website set up and search engine optimization (SEO) training.  After site set up training (which included wordpress plugins, templates and settings, main page, posts, and keyword placement) was over, monetizing your website was the next steps.  Monetization of a website included placement of ads, conversions, and affiliate programs.  The final training in the 60 day challenge was promoting your sites and getting free traffic from search engines. The 60 day challenge training was done live, by video, and pdf.

In answer to the question:  What were the results of the 60 day challenge, and how many people are earning $200 a day?

the results have been amazing, but have ranged differently for different people. Some members found success with ranking #1 on Google, and others have make $25,000 with the sniper launch (covered in the quick start training).  What’s the result?  Everyone’s results were different, not everyone was making huge amounts of money yet, but the fact remains the training was completely successful.  For members who have never had a site seen by search engines before, for people who have never even made a penny with adsense before, and for those people who have never made an affiliate sale before, Google Conquest turned that not only into a reality for all who put the training to use, but a dream come true.

The re-release of Google Conquest (Conquest Authority) is scheduled to be available in May 2009.  amount of copies for sale will again be incredibly limited.  If you have been struggling with making money online, I highly recommend you join Alex Goad’s Conquest Authority.  You can read a Conquest Authority Review, get a Conquest Authority Bonus, or sign up for the Early Bird notification list (to get more information) by visiting http://www.moneyproductreviews.com/conquest-authority.
